MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) — A plane heading to Barbados made a quick return to Miami International Airport after apparently experiencing mechanical problems just after takeoff.

The Miami-Dade Aviation Department reports that the American Airlines flight had been in the air for about an hour Monday morning when it began to experience hydraulic issues. The plane made it safely back to the airport shortly after noon.

No injuries were reported to the 172 people on board.
