Plane Makes Emergency Landing A Few Miles Away From Tamiami Airport

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said a small plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Southwest Miami-Dade on Saturday.

Just eight miles away from the Tamiami Airport, the plane apparently started to experience engine troubles.

The pilot put the plane down at 208th Ave. and 136th St.

The two passengers aboard were injured, but fire rescue said neither had to be taken to the hospital.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said the craft was a Cessna 152.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and  FAA are now investigating the incident.
