FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami/AP) — A 30-year-old pedestrian was killed after he was struck by at least two cars on a busy exit ramp linking two South Florida interstates.

Florida Highway Patrol officials say Diego Ramires, of Hollywood, was hit by two cars early Saturday morning on the exit ramp from southbound Interstate 95 to Interstate 595. Authorities say a third vehicle may have also struck Ramires after the initial impact.

It's unclear why the victim was walking on the highway. The crash remains under investigation

The accident shut down the exit ramp for several hours. One of the driver's was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
