Pedestrian Killed, Struck In Street In Pompano Beach

POMPANO BEACH (CBSMiami) -- Police are investigating the death of a man who was hit by a car while trying to cross the street in Pompano Beach.
The man was attempting to cross West Atlantic Blvd. just east of the I-95 on-ramp on Friday night, when a Hyundai Sante Fe hit him.
Police said the victim was not in the designated cross walk and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver remained for police to arrive.
Traffic Homicide is investigating.
