Passenger Threatens To Jump From Cruise Ship Docked In Ft. Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) -- A passenger has been safely transported from a cruise ship after threatening suicide while docked at Port Everglades.
The Broward Sheriff's Office said a man in his late 30's threatened to jump over the railing of the Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas Saturday morning.
After several hours, hostage negotiators were able to get close enough to physically prevent the man from jumping.
He was taken to Broward Health Medical Center.
