ORLANDO (CBSMiami/AP) -- A passenger died Friday after falling from a tram at Orlando International Airport.

Airport officials said that the unidentified passenger died after being taken to a hospital Friday.

Bombardier operates the airport's tram system.

Airport officials said the tram, which is normally automated, was being run manually during a routine inspection in the early-morning hours.

A passenger was ejected through the windshield of the tram when it made an unexpected stop and the passenger fell to the ground more than a dozen feet below.
