FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) -- Part of Las Olas will be turned into an outdoor art gallery this weekend for the Annual Las Olas Art Fair.

Starting Saturday morning, more than 250 local and national artists will display their art works between SE 6th Avenue and SE 11th Avenue.

Artistic items include paintings, sculptures, photography, ceramics, glass, wood, handmade jewelry, collage and mixed.

All artists are expected to be  onsite for the duration of the show.

The show will not only appeal to art lovers, but also pet lovers.

Animal rescue group Animal Aid will have many of their pets in need of forever homes at the art show.

Festival patrons are welcome to support their mission to rescue the injured, neglected and unwanted cats and dogs from county shelters that would otherwise be destroyed.

The festival ends on Sunday but the second part to the annual event will be back on March 28th.
