VIENNA, Austria (CBSMiami) -- A pair of newborns surprised zoo keepers at the Schönbrunn Zoo in Vienna.

Video released by the zoo showed a Giant Panda mother rearing twin babies in a breeding box.

Keepers thought they heard babies squeaking but weren't certain until they saw the twins on camera for the first time on Friday, August 12th.

Oftentimes, Giant Panda mothers choose to only rear the stronger of the two babies, so zoo keepers will be keeping a close eye on them.

They say, so far, both babies seem to be doing well.

According to Chinese tradition, the young pandas won't be named until they are 100 days old.
