Overturned Tanker Causes Traffic Nightmare On I-95

*UPDATE: As of 1 p.m., two general purpose lanes and an express lane were re-opened.

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - All southbound lanes of I-95 near the county line are closed to traffic as crews remove fuel from an overturned tanker truck.

The truck rolled over near Ives Dairy Road in the early morning hours, spilling its load of fuel over the road.

Three lanes of the highway were shut down as crews cleaned up the fuel on the road.

Around 7 a.m., several lanes were re-opened but the damage was done. A traffic back up extended for miles, drivers were asked to avoid the area if possible.

When deemed safe, wreckers will right the truck and remove it from the shoulder.
