Officer Transported To Hospital After Police Involved Crash In Coconut Grove

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A police officer has been taken to the hospital in Coconut Grove.

Miami Police tell CBS4 News an officer was involved in what's being described as a bad car crash at 37th Avenue and Loquat Avenue late Thursday afternoon.

The officer was loaded onto a City of Miami Rescue unit transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

CBS4 has learned that the officer was able to call the crash in via his radio.

He was being treated for a leg injury, according to police.
