Police arrested Sullivan at a house in South Miami-Dade Friday afternoon in connection to the shooting of  Juan Guellmes who was outside his home washing his car at the time of the shooting.

Bernice Martinez hasn't left her boyfriend Guellmes's side since he was hospitalized last Friday after being shot.

"It's heartbreaking," said Martinez. "You don't want a loved one to be in any kind of pain, physical or mental."

Sources familiar with the investigation say that Guellmes, from his hospital bed, was able to pick Sullivan's picture out of a photo lineup.

"He feels very good that he was able to do that. From day one as soon as he woke up, I asked him do you know why you are here, and he said yes. I said do you remember, and he said yes. Are you going to be able to identify this person, and he said yes," said Martinez.

Police say Guellmes was cleaning out his car when a gunman approached him and shot him multiple times before taking off with his gold chain.

Sullivan's capture comes just a day after police arrested Roderick Everett, 22.

Detectives say Everett admitted to driving the getaway car.

Since Everett's arrest, police had been looking for Sullivan.

Martinez said she feels sorry for the people responsible.

"You preyed on a person who is a member of the community, a hard worker, a great father somebody who works extremely hard for what he has, and it was totally wrong," said Martinez.

Sullivan is charged with armed robbery and attempted murder.
