No Bond For Accused Drunk Driver Who Left Woman Paralyzed

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – An accused drunk driver, who hit a woman and left her paralyzed, was denied bond in court Tuesday morning.

Michael Anguille, 29, went before a judge where he was ordered held without bond.

Police said he was drunk when he slammed into the back of a Kim Smith's car Sunday.

Smith, 55, a therapeutic recreational therapist was heading home from work at Imperial Point Hospital when BSO officials said Anguille slammed into her in the 4100 block of Federal Highway in Lighthouse Point.

"I was waiting at home and got a call at two in the morning there had been an accident," her son Daniel told CBS4.

"She has had two surgeries, one for her legs and one to stop blood clots," said Daniel Smith.
