MIAMI (CBSMiami) --  Expect a nice and warm Friday with high temperatures in the low 80s.

A few showers are possible later in the day as a cold front rolls in.

On Saturday, that same cold front will lift northward across the South Florida area as a warm front brings a better chance of storms.

An area of low pressure developing in the Gulf of Mexico will also move towards the state.

All the moisture associated with the front and low pressure system will lead to storms likely late Saturday and especially on Sunday.

Highs temperature will be in the low 80s through the weekend.

Monday morning will be cooler with lows in the low temperatures in the 60s and highs in the upper 70s.

There will be less humid and pleasant weather to kick off the workweek.
