NFL Not Likely To Punish Mike Pouncey For Bullying Scandal

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – It's been a rough summer for Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey.

A hip injury discovered during the Dolphins' minicamp required surgery which will likely keep Pouncey out of the first four games of the season.

More negative attention stemmed from Pouncey's birthday party as he and his twin brother Maurkice were accused of punching at man at the Cameo nightclub in Miami Beach, though no charges have been filed.

Hopefully the worst is behind Pouncey as it looks like he's finally received some good news.

With last season's workplace conduct scandal and a possible fine and/or suspension from the NFL hanging over his head, it's now looking like Pouncey won't be disciplined for his role in the bullying incidents.

In an email exchange with CBS Miami news partner the Miami Herald, NFL spokesman Greg Aiello revealed that there has been "no change in [Pouncey's] active status [and] we have no other information to offer on the subject."

The Herald then asked if that meant the league wouldn't have any updates on the situation moving forward, to which Aiello responded "Never say never, but I don't anticipate having to address the issue again."

It appears that means Pouncey won't face any additional actions from the league, according to CBS Miami news partner the Miami Herald.

The Dolphins have yet to comment on this development.
