NFL Injury Report: Two Players Ruled Out Of Dolphins-Bills Week 3 Showdown

By Abraham Gutierrez

In anticipation of their first AFC East clash and the opening home game of the young season, Joe Philbin and the Miami Dolphins appear to be in good shape as far as injuries go. In Friday's (final) NFL Week 3 injury report, the Fins detailed nine players nursing some type of injury. Nevertheless, no one was ruled out of Sunday's game against the rival Buffalo Bills.

It's always an encouraging sign whenever a player is able to partake in all the reps in preparation for the week's upcoming game. That said, Dolphins fans would be glad to know that quarterback Ryan Tannehill (ankle) and defensive end Cameron Wake (hamstring) both had full participation in practice throughout the week.

As a result, Miami's signal-caller and defensive leader were both penciled in as probable against the Bills. Also listed as probable in Week 3, despite being limited in practice, are center Mike Pouncey (elbow) and safety Reshad Jones (hamstring).

Moving right along, there were two players that were not able to take part in preparations for the Bills due to injury: Defensive tackle Earl Mitchell (back) and tackle Branden Albert (hamstring). Mitchell is listed as questionable, while Albert will be a game-time decision, as he's under the doubtful column following zero participation in practice.

The Dolphins also detailed three additional players for the fact that their injuries enabled them to practice only on a limited basis. Listed as questionable are two key offensive weapons, running back Lamar Miller (ankle) and tight end Jordan Cameron (groin). Finally, it appears Miami could be a little thin at the tight end position, as first-stringer Dion Sims is considered doubtful as he continues to recover from a concussion after limited participation in practice.

For the visiting Buffalo Bills, Rex Ryan comes into enemy territory with two players having been already ruled out, along with eight other aching bodies in danger of leading to DNPs.
