New Surveillance Images Released In Taxi Cab Driver Shooting

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – New surveillance video images could help officials make an arrest in a gas station shooting that injured a taxi cab driver in August.

Officials with Miami-Dade Police Department are investigating the shooting at 715 Opa-locka Boulevard on August 29.

It took place just before 9 p.m.

According to officials, the victim, 43-year-old Simon Bertin, was putting as in his taxi when two men walked up to him. Police said one of the men fired his gun hitting Bertin in his neck.

The subjects fled the scene.

Police said Bertin was released from the hospital after treatment.

They believe road-rage may have been the motive for the shooting.
