New Charge For Man Accused Of Killing Pregnant Sister

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - A Ft. Lauderdale man accused of killing his pregnant sister during a fight over an electric bill is facing a new charge.

Willie Ward, 25, who was charged with second degree murder in the death of Jaquinda Wright, 29, has now been charged with manslaughter in the death of her unborn child.

During the fight over the bill Ward punched Wright twice in the head.

Wright collapsed and was taken to Broward Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

A judge has ordered that Ward remain in jail until his arraignment on September 8th.
