'Mysterious White Substance' Washes Ashore In Fort Lauderdale Beach

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Officials are investigating after a white substance washed up on Fort Lauderdale Beach between lifeguard stations 1-10.

The US Coast Guard, local fire rescue and lifeguards are working to clean the beach near Las Olas Boulevard and A1A and to determine what the unknown substance is.

Officials urged beachgoers to use caution.
