Murder Suspect Who Led Police On Chase Denied Bond

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The man accused of killing a man in a wheelchair and then leading police on a chase Tuesday will remain behind bars.

Rodney Louis, 27, is charged with murder, fleeing and eluding police, resisting arrest, and grand theft.

In his first court appearance Wednesday, Louis was denied bond.

Police say Louis shot and killed Israel Perez near the I-95 exit ramp at NW 95 Street and NW 7 Avenue.

Louis then led police on a high speed chase that ended with a crash on I-95 where Louis was eventually taken into custody.
