Three People Shot In NW Miami-Dade Park Parking Lot

NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE (CBSMiami) - Police are investigating an incident in the parking lot of a park that left multiple people shot.

A police officer on-scene told CBS4's Brian Andrews that three people were shot Wednesday evening around 6:30 PM at Soar Park at 100 N.W. 83rd Street.

Two vehicles involved in the shooting, according to MDPD, fled the scene.

One of the victim's, a 17-year-old girl, was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Her grandmother and another relative were pacing outside the Ryder Trauma Center Wednesday night, waiting on any updates of the girl's condition.

According to her grandmother, the girl was shot in the head.

The two other victims, both males, were transported to the hospital in stable condition, according to police. Their ages have not been disclosed.

It is still unclear whether the victims were standing in the park, or seated inside parked vehicles when the shooting occurred.

The relationship between victims is still unknown and the investigation continues.
