Motorman Injured on I-95

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- A motorman went down on I-95 Tuesday morning - leaving him injured.

Chopper4 was over the scene in North Miami-Dade just before noon where a number of rescue crews could be seen surrounding the injured officer who could be seen in uniform, laying next to his motorcycle.

Several Florida Highway Patrol units were on the scene near 119th Street in the southbound lanes. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue was also there.

The injured motorman was airlifted to a nearby hospital.

The crash happened in the express lane but all the southbound lanes were shut down. Some of the regular southbound lanes have been reopened.

The cause of the incident remains unclear.
