Motorist Shot On I-95, Stretch Of Highway Closed For Hours In West Palm

PALM BEACH COUNTY (CBSMiami) -- Police were forced to shut down a stretch of I-95 on Thursday night following the shooting of a driver that left him in serious condition.

The road was reopened about six hours later just before 2 a.m. Friday, as reported by the Sun-Sentinel.

Authorities said the shooting occurred around 8 p.m. along the southbound lanes, between the 45th Street exit and Palm Beach Lakes Blvd.

The driver was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is investigating. So far, no arrests have been made.
