MIAMI -- After a foggy start, South Florida will see plenty of sunshine and rising temperatures for the Thanksgiving holiday.

CBS Miami meteorologist Dave Warren said there's a chance for spotty showers but it will be mostly clear and dry.

The high temperature Thursday is expected to top out in the mid-80s with lows dropping to the low 70s during the overnight.

Friday will be sunny and dry as well with a high temperature in the mid-80s. Lows will be in the low 70s, Warren said.

The wind will shift slightly ahead of a cold front just to the north Friday, which will keep showers in the forecast Friday afternoon.

Friday will be another warm day with lows in the middle 70s and highs in the mid-80s. Showers may develop over the interior then drift back east across Friday afternoon or early evening.

Spotty showers remain possible over the weekend with unseasonably warm temperatures.

By Sunday, a weak cold front will bring slightly cooler and drier air to South Florida but highs will still be above 80 degrees.

It may feel a bit more comfortable with pleasant humidity Monday before the moisture returns Tuesday and Wednesday
