Moroccan National Injured After Hit To Face On Miami Beach

MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) – Police in Miami Beach are trying to determine how a man was struck in the face causing him to fall and fracture his skull.

According to officers, 22-year-old Mohamed Youness Adlan was found unconscious January 1 with a serious injury to his head at 215 Espanola Way.

The man's friend, Amane Maghous, 23, told officers they were at Club Cameo on Washington Avenue when at some point they separated and when Maghous left the club, he saw his friend lying on the ground.

A security guard reportedly told Maghous that he called Fire Rescue for Adlan and told him he was struck in the face and fell to the ground hitting his head.

Maghous did not see the incident.

Police said the security guard has not been able to be reached and there are no witnesses available.

The victim and his friend are Moroccan Nationals living in Rhode Island and attending school there.
