Monroe County Sheriff's deputy accused of breaking into ex's home, faces new charges

Monroe deputy charged with burglary

MIAMI - A Monroe County Sheriff's deputy accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend's home in Key West is facing additional charges.

Alexander Morales Junior, previously charged with felony burglary and criminal mischief, now faces four counts of illegally accessing agency computer equipment.

The twenty-six-year-old allegedly broke in through a bedroom window to confront her.

Police said Morales illegally used his agency computer to look up information regarding a man dating his ex-girlfriend on April 15, 2024.

Morales, who was hired on Jan. 3, 2022, has been placed on administrative leave without pay.
