Mom Sought In Dade Missing Child Case

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- A Miami-Dade mother is wanted by police, accused of taking her child away from his legal guardian.

Miami-Dade Police said Katie Lee Maultsby, 28, allegedly took her 8-year old son Dariyus Maultsby away from his guardian on Friday near the 14300 block of Boggs Street.

Officers said she sped off with him in a dark gray Volkswagen CC.

Dariyus was last seen wearing a yellow polo shirt and khaki shorts.

Investigators believe they may also may be traveling by Metrobus or Metrorail.

On Friday, authorities released a flyer with all the pertinent information.

Anyone who has seen them is urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471- TIPS.
