SARASOTA (CBSMiami/AP) – A toddler, who had gone missing overnight, was found dead in a neighbor's pool the next morning.

Two-year-old Zackery Castro's parents had not seen him since Monday night and did not know the child was not inside the house, the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office reports.

The toddler's parents had not seen the boy since they last checked on him at 10 PM.

Tuesday morning, neighbors called 9-1-1 saying they found a child they didn't know floating in their pool.

Deputies went door to door and found the child's mother several houses away.

A tricycle parked at the end of the driveway shows the boy may have ridden to the pool.
