Minor League Baseball Attendance 4.38 Million, Slight Drop

ST. PETERSBURG (AP) — Minor league baseball attendance dropped to 41.38 million this year from 42.56 million in 2015.

The National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues said Monday this was the 12th straight year it topped 41 million and its ninth-highest total.

The 2015 total was the third-highest behind 43.3 million in 2008 and 42.8 million in 2007.

Triple-A Indianapolis topped teams in attendance at 636,888 this year, and Charlotte's average of 8,974 was four more than Indianapolis.
