Mike Tannenbaum Tabbed For Role In Miami Dolphins Front Office
Mike Tannenbaum is headed to the Miami Dolphins to run football operations, according to multiple reports.
Initially reported by Zack Krantz, co-host of the Marc Hochman Show with Zach Krantz on WQAM, the former New York Jets General Manager is expected to be hired in the "Parcells role" for the team, with current Dolphins GM Dennis Hickey and coach Joe Philbin answering to him.
Possible breaking Fins news. Someone just told me Mike Tannebaum will be hired as Parcells role for team. Hickey & Philbin answer to him

Fox Sports NFL reporters Mike Garafolo and Alex Marvez have backed Krantz's report, claiming owner Stephen Ross and the Dolphins will be handing over football operations to Tannenbaum. He was let go by the Jets after the 2012 season and you may remember him from his appearance on HBO's Hard Knocks during the 2010 season when they covered the Jets.
Currently a sports agent for Priority Sports and Entertainment, Tannenbaum was also serving as an advisor to Ross.
Update 2:54 pm: Further complicating the situation is the Miami Herald reporting Philbin will not be reporting to Tannenbaum.
Update to @MikeGarafolo and @alexmarvez report: Dennis Hickey will report to Tannenbaum. Joe Philbin will not.

The way I understand it, Philbin will continue to report directly to Ross.
