Migrants Come Ashore Off Boynton Beach

BOYNTON BEACH (CBSMiami) -- Dozens of migrants came ashore off Boynton Beach on Saturday morning.

Boynton Beach Police said a marine officer overheard a fisherman, saying over the radio, that a boat had run ashore just North of a beach inlet just before 11 a.m.

The officer was able to find the boat on the beach and notified the proper authorities.

Officers said they found 25 women and men from Haiti.

A man and a woman, from Ecuador, were also found hiding in the bushes along A1A.

It is unclear how long they had been at sea.

The group was turned over to U.S. Border Patrol.
