Miami's Own Selected As Finalist In CBS Casting

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- CBS announced the top 12 finalists in the Diversity Casting Initiative and one of the actors is from Miami.
Some big congratulations are owed to 24-year-old Ana Osorio.
More than 8,000 people competed for one of the 12 spots.
Ana is known for her work on Telemundo Novelas. She said she was thrilled when she got the call.
"I wanted to scream so bad but there were so many people that I couldn't. I just had to kind of hold it in and be like, 'wow, thank you,'" said Osorio. "I've made somewhat of a mark in the Spanish market and that was a great accomplishment so I feel this is a huge opportunity to step into the American market."
The CBS Diversity Casting Initiative is designed to reach untapped talent across the country and is focused on increasing opportunities for people who belong to groups that have traditionally been underrepresented, including African-American, Asian-American, Latino, Native American, Pacific Islander, LGBTQ actors and performers with disabilities.
