Miami Shores Police Cruiser Slams Into Light Pole

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - An investigation is underway after a Miami Shores police cruiser crashed into a light pole overnight.

It happened at 97th Street and 12th Avenue.

Police say the officer was in a residential neighborhood when he spotted some burglary suspects. When he attempted to stop them, they rammed their vehicle into his, causing him to go off the road and into the pole.

The officer was not hurt.

Four suspects were taken into custody.
