Miami Rep. Daphne Campbell Draws Challengers

TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami) - Two Democrats and one non-partisan candidate have filed paperwork during the past week to challenge Rep. Daphne Campbell, D-Miami, in this year's elections, according to the state Division of Elections website.

Miami Democrat Michael Hepburn opened a campaign account Wednesday, two days after fellow Miami Democrat Taj Cheron Echoles filed similar paperwork.

Also, no-party-affiliation candidate Cedon Saintill Jr., of Miami, opened a campaign account last week.

The candidates are seeking to unseat Campbell in Miami-Dade County's District 108. Campbell was first elected to the House in 2010.
