Miami Police Officer Surprises Girlfriend With Proposal At Award Ceremony

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – It was a life-changing day for one of Miami PD's finest.
Officer Henry Ortega was just honored as officer of the month, but that's not what made Thursday so special.
After accepting his award, Officer Ortega called his girlfriend up on stage.
"We've been through thick and thin, but overall we've always pushed through and been successful. I thank you," he said. "And today I want to ask you, 'Rosie, will you marry me?'"
And she said yes!
