MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A shooting at Bayside following a July 4th fireworks show caused chaos.

Police said no one was injured in the incident. They took one person into custody for questioning and subsequently released them because they determined he had nothing to do with the shooting.

Dozens of officers arrived at Bayfront while thousands were watching the Fourth of July fireworks.

The show had just finished when video circulating social media shows people running.

Witnesses described people running scared and screaming.

"Mass chaos took place here, people were running for cover, ready to get out of Bayside and as a result we had numerous injuries as a result of people trampling over one another," said Miami Fire Rescue Captain Ignatius Carroll.

Most of the hurt had leg injuries, cuts, bumps and bruises. Ten people were treated at the scene, five were taken to the hospital.
