KEY BISCAYNE (CBSMiami) – The Miami Open qualifying rounds kicked off on Monday in Key Biscayne, with singles matches set to begin on Tuesday.

The tournament began with a different feel than usual as temperatures stayed in the 60s, where they are expected to remain on Tuesday.

One of the big stories of the Miami Open is men's star Roger Federer making a comeback from knee surgery.

Following Monday's men's draw, Federer could face Juan Martin del Potro in his opening match, which will take place on Friday. That could lead to a quarterfinal meeting with David Ferrer, a semifinal match with Novak Djokovic and a finals battle with Andy Murray, but all that is a ways away.

Djokovic also begins his tournament on Friday while Murray and Rafael Nadal begin on Saturday.

On the women's side, defending champion Serena Williams will play her first match on Thursday while her sister Venus will begin her tournament on Friday.
