MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Miami Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria has made his pick for the 2016 presidential election.

Loria donated $125,000 to Trump's campaign last month, according to our news partners the Miami Herald.

The contribution, first found by the Miami New Times, was given to the group Trump Victory and was dated September 29th.

Just two days before, Trump mentioned Loria as he stumped in Little Havana, where Marlins Park is located.

Trump spoke with Cuban Americans at Miami Dade College on September 27th. During his visit, Trump mourned the death of Marlins star pitcher Jose Fernandez.

It remains unclear if Trump and Loria met in person during his visit.

The New Times reported Miami Heat owner Micky Arison nor Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross have donated to either presidential candidate.
