Miami Guards Manu Lecomte and Deandre Burnett to Transfer

The University of Miami announced Wednesday sophomore point guard Manu Lecomte and freshman guard Deandre Burnett will both transfer from the Canes' basketball team.

"We thank both Manu and Deandre for their contributions to the Miami basketball program for the past two seasons," coach Jim Larranaga said. "We wish them the best in their future."

Burnett, a Carol City grad, averaged 7.0 points and 2.0 rebounds on 36-percent shooting from the field and 29-percent shooting on 3-pointers this season. Lecomte averaged 7.9 points and 1.8 assists primarily as the backup point guard, shooting 43 percent from the field and 46 percent on threes.
