While many expected Miami Dolphins staff changes on the defensive side of the ball, there's been a shuffling on offense, reports NFL Network's Albert Breer Wednesday morning.

The team brought in longtime NFL coach Al Saunders to be an "offensive consultant." Saunders, 68, has been a NFL coach since 1983 and most recently served as a senior offensive assistant with the Raiders last season.

The Dolphins are third to last in the NFL in scoring, averaging 16.3 points per game.

Breer said the team also discussed Mike Smith, Jim Schwartz and Greg Schiano, all defensive-minded former head coaches.
