MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A police major whose son was arrested on drug dealing charges has been relieved of duty.

Miami-Dade Police Maj. Arnold Palmer's son, Tyler, is accused of dealing drugs from his father's home.

Tyler Palmer, 20, was arrested earlier in May when police said they found marijuana, cocaine and pills inside his room.

His father has been relieved of duty – though it's not known if his dismissal is related to his son's arrest.
