Miami Beach Mayor: Alton Road To Fully Reopen Wednesday

MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) -- Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine said Tuesday Alton Road will full reopen on Wednesday.

By the end of the day, the mayor said, motorists will be able to drive southbound and northbound on Alton Road between 8th Street and 17th Street.

That's one month ahead of the contractor's December 31st accelerated deadline.

He also said all the roadway work will be substantially complete by the end of December.
