Miami Beach Launches Sunscreen Line

MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami/AP) — Known throughout the world for its famous South Beach area, the city of Miami Beach is hoping to capitalize on its popularity with its own line of sunscreen products.

City officials partnered with Destination Brands International to create the line of sunscreens and bronzers. Officials say a portion of the proceeds will go to local beach cleanup efforts.

The Miami Beach Suncare line includes sunscreen lotions, gel and sprays up to a sun protection factor of 50 and sunless bronzing lotions and sprays.
