MIAMI (AP) — Beach conditions are now just a phone call away in Miami.

The Miami Herald reports that the Miami Beach Ocean Rescue has a new, dedicated phone hotline to provide area beach goers with daily beach conditions. Callers can listen to a prerecorded message with current beach conditions in English or Spanish by dialing 305-673-7714.

Included in the update are water temperatures, wind speed, times for high and low tides and other beach-specific information, such a explaining what the warning flags on lifeguard stands mean.

The message will be updated daily at 8 a.m. Callers may also talk to a live representative between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
