MetroMover Set To Close Next Weekend

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- The MetroMover system is set to close next weekend due to necessary maintenance work needing to be done.
Miami-Dade Transit officials said the system will closed on Saturday, January 17th, and Sunday, January 18th.
While the system will be out of service, free bus shuttles will provide transportation between stations every 10 to 15 minutes.
The closure is necessary to replace a cable that powers Metromover cars and to perform needed track work, according to transportation officials.
The MetroMover will reopen on Monday, January 19th at 5 a.m.
