Metrobus Service Over Venetian Causeway Temporarily Suspended

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Miami-Dade County has temporarily suspended Metrobus service over the Venetian Causeway due to structural problems with the bridges.

The suspension affects Route A, which crosses the Venetian bridges and islands from the Omni area in Miami to the Lincoln Road area, according to CBS4 news partner The Miami Herald.

Also affected is the South Beach Local (Route 123). Buses will no longer pick up passengers on Belle Isle. SBLocal users will have to go over the bridge to the bus stop at Purdy Avenue and Dade Boulevard.  Route 123 schedule remains the same.

It's unclear how long the suspension of service will last.

The county recommends bus commuters who need to travel between Miami and Miami Beach to use Routes S (119), Beach MAX (120), C (103), and M (113) as alternatives.
