MDCPS Receives Threat Similar To Those In LA & NYC

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami-Dade County Public Schools said they received a threat Wednesday night similar to the threat received by New York City and Los Angeles schools.

MDCPS Chief Communications Officer Daisy Gonzalez-Diego told CBS4 that local, state and federal officials have investigated this and say it is not credible.

However, in order to make sure everyone is calm, there will be "additional resources" at schools Thursday.

They emphasized it will be a normal school day.

Parents are encouraged to bring their kids to school.
