MIAMI (CBSMiami) – McDonald's is working to make their fast food restaurants more hospitable with the U.S. launch of self-service kiosk ordering, table service, mobile payments and digital menu boards.

Beginning early 2017, more than 600 McDonald's restaurants in Florida are expected to be among the first in the United States to introduce the new services which are already found in nearly 2,600 international restaurants.

For those looking to order at their own pace, there will be digital self-order kiosks. The kiosks "empower guests to browse the McDonald's menu, find new options and tailor their meal just the way they want," according to the company.  However, the machines won't take cash.

There will also be new menu options called Signature Crafted recipes, which allow customers to select  100% beef or juicy grilled or crispy chicken, picking an artisan roll or sesame seed bun, and choosing from one of three new signature recipes – Maple Bacon Dijon, Pico Guacamole or Sweet BBQ Bacon.

Aside from new food choices, there's also going to be table service.  In the dining room, guests' orders will be delivered to tables by McDonald's crew members.

"We are excited Florida will be the first in the country to showcase these significant enhancements for McDonald's guests statewide," said Karen Garcia, vice president and general manager of McDonald's in Florida.  "The one million people McDonald's serves in Florida every day will be delighted by the new technology and new menu items, all offered in modern restaurants."

The company also announced that it would roll out a mobile order-and-pay system.

In Florida, seven restaurants in the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale have already been transformed.

McDonald's says they expect 100 transformed restaurants in the area by the end of 2017.
