Marlins Add Pair Of Minor League Hitters

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Marlins made a couple of minor moves over the weekend.

The Marlins have signed infielder Scott Sizemore and outfielder Tyler Colvin to minor league deals.

Sizemore, 30, spent the majority of 2014 on the New York Yankees Triple-A club in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre where he posted a .762 OPS in 319 plate appearances.

Colvin also spent the 2014 season in Triple-A, playing for the San Francisco Giants' minor league squad in Fresno.

The 29-year-old outfielder was called up to the Giants in May, hitting .223/.268/.381 with a .650 OPS and two home runs in 149 plate appearances before being sent back down towards the end of July.
