Marlins' ace Sandy Alcantara to miss 2024 MLB season

MIAMI - Miami Marlins right-hander Sandy Alcantara will miss the 2024 MLB season after undergoing Tommy John surgery, as he and the team announced on Instagram Friday. 

Recovery from the surgery may take up to 12 months.

Alcantara last pitched for the Marlins in September.
