Marco Rubio Votes Early In West Miami

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- With early voting underway in Florida, one candidate took advantage to cast his ballot in the very place he started his political career.
Wednesday morning, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio was at the West Miami City Hall to put in his vote for president.
"Here, in the place where I started my career in West Miami, literally, standing right here outside on this sidewalk is where my career began in elected office. So it's an incredible privilege and honor to be able to vote for myself for president just a few blocks from where I grew up," said Rubio, outside of the West Miami City Hall.
With a strong showing in the Super Tuesday primaries, Rubio was in good spirits walking hand in hand with his wife, Jeanette, to their car.
"You know, last night was supposed to be Ted Cruz's night," Cruz addressed the media. "We beat him on half of the states in the ballot, we won the state of Minnesota. We picked up a lot of delegates and we feel great about what the map looks like now moving forward and especially when we get here to our home state of Florida, so we're excited!"
Rubio is reportedly headed next to Michigan.
